This tour will take you to top three Tanzania National Parks in the Northern circuit. This is the most popular safari itinerary in the Northern circuit. Tanzania is home to many of nature’s most spectacular creations and scenery. From the lush bushes that host myriad of bird species and the aquatic life in Lake Manyara through the magnificent scene of the wildebeest migration in Serengeti to the awesome sun over the Ngorongoro crater; cradle of man’s origin! What more would be more exciting than this!
We’ll be picked and transferred to Bougainvillea Serena Safari Lodge for a hot lunch. We’ll enjoy our game at Lake Manyara National Park which has a wonderful mosaic of different habitats, and attracts a whole host of animals including a high density of elephants. Look out for monkeys, antelopes, zebras and hippos too. There are also lions and some have developed the unusual behavior of climbing trees for their afternoon snooze. However, they have not mastered the art of dragging their kill high into the branches, as the leopard is so adept at doing. Bird life is fascinating at Lake Manyara and pelicans, storks, geese, herons and cormorants share their water world with migrant flamingos, which come and feed on the algae rich water and turn the crystalline edges of the soda lake a vibrant pink.

Depart with our picnic lunch boxes for Serengeti National Park. We’ll go for a game drive on the Serengeti plains, searching for the migration, the largest concentration of wildebeest to be found anywhere in the world. Also present are the predators (lions and cheetahs) and the scavengers (hyenas and jackals) together with elephants, buffalos, giraffes, warthogs and many other species of both big and small game.

This morning our African adventure begins after breakfast with an exploratory game drive through Tanzania’s oldest and most recognized National Park, the Serengeti. This location offers the most expansive game viewing in Tanzania. From predators to prey, great herds of grazing herbivores to tactically cunning packs of carnivores, life on the plains of the Serengeti can best be defined as a complete “circle of life.”
With a packed picnic lunch, we will explore the majestic park till late in the evening when we head back to the camp.

After breakfast we depart to explore one of the most recognized wildlife conservation areas in Tanzania today. Lunch will be at Endoro Lodge before proceeding with the afternoon game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater was formed when Ngorongoro volcano collapsed within itself forming the biggest caldera in the world. It covers an area of 260km² and is 620m deep! Ngorongoro has a series of volcanoes one of which is the active Oldoinyo Lengai. The crater floor also boasts as one of the highest carnivore densities in the world including large prides of lions, packs of hyenas and solitary predators like cheetahs and jackals.

Descend to the rim of the crater in the morning after breakfast for game viewing before leaving for Arusha where we will take lunch. A keen eye may help us spot some of the less common species like leopards, servals, and bat-eared foxes.
